Versalift Appoints New Production Manager

David Ruffett has been appointed production manager at Versalift, the leading UK supplier of vehicle-mounted platforms.

David is responsible for all aspects of production at Versalift�s recently expanded headquarters in Burton Latimer, near Kettering, in Northamptonshire. This includes production purchasing, planning, stock control, manning, output, as well as facility management, and health and safety.

He will be implementing �lean thinking� concepts and improved supply chain management, amongst other things, to ensure high levels of efficiency as the site continues to expand. Versalift has been adding capacity at its Burton Latimer production centre since last Autumn to meet increased order levels and to maintain competitive delivery times.

David is a qualified mechanical engineer and has over 25 years experience in light to medium engineering, developing particular expertise in assembly. Before joining Versalift, he spent 10 years with the Northampton based heating & ventilation manufacturer, Lennox Industries, the last five as manufacturing manager.

David, aged 48, lives in Newport Pagnell. He is married with one son, a student at Leicester University. A keen sportsman, he plays for a local football team. He also enjoys badminton and going to the gym to keep fit.
