Bodywork available for these chassis will mainly be tipper and dropsiders, with specialised bodywork available on request. High aluminium sided tippers or extended mesh sided tipping bodies will also be available popular within the tree surgeon and utilities industry.
Although the Santana 4x4 is relevantly new to the UK market, it is highly established through-out Europe. Metalurgica de Santa Ana (later to become Santana Motor SA), was the Spanish engineering company that signed a deal with Rover Company to build Land Rovers under licence. The first were built in 1958 from CKD kits, but local content was gradually increased until the Santana's were 100 per cent locally manufactured. The Landrover's built by Santana can be recognized by the unique front grill badge.
The Santana is already proving it's worth in a number of UK magazines such as '4x4' and 'Commercial Motor' for example where press releases put it number 1 (even in front of Landrover) in test drives.
